WELCOME TO COOKIE CRUMBS!

Cookie Crumbs was launched as a way for me to express myself creatively and to share thoughts and experiences around parenting, family life and struggling with Infertility.

If you love family, fashion, COFFEE, books, chocolate & yoga, you’ve come to the right place.  Here you’ll find fashion inspiration, family adventures-good and bad, and a place where you are free to share your joys, frustrations, passions and dreams.  This is a space created by a mom for moms.

I’m new to the world of blogging but I love sharing my joys, heartaches, and passions and want to give all moms a place they can truly let go and do the same.

Are you ready to see where this crazy journey began? START HERE!

WHY I CREATED COOKIE CRUMBS

Here at Cookie Crumbs I want to provide a space where moms are free to use their creative voice, however that manifests itself.  That’s the reason I started this blog.  On and off over the past 4 years, I have thought about starting a blog.  I even tried my hand at it just as a way to share with my family what was going on with us, but in 2013 I just stopped.  I didn’t feel like I had anything to write about, I was overwhelmed with work and motherhood and it just fell by the wayside.  I also felt alone.

We had just moved back to Iowa and I had decided to take some time off to be home with our daughter.  I was struggling with feeling like I had nothing that was all my own and that allowed me to express myself.  What’s worse is that I felt like I had no one to share any of this with.  Over and over I had come back to the idea of creating a blog but always talked myself out of it because it was silly, unrealistic and way too much work!  It was a year after we made our big move to Iowa when I took one look at my bonsai tree and that all changed.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

My name is Tasha and I am a 30-something Wife, Full-Time Working Mom, Midwest Girl, Blogger and lover of coffee, fashion, books, chocolate & yoga.   My family and I live in Small Town, Iowa, where I was born and raised.  My ideal day would be spent in sweatpants, on the couch with endless amounts of popcorn, coffee and red wine (yes both, don’t judge me) watching Netflix.

Since the birth of our daughter, Addie I felt the struggle between being a mom and identifying with who I was as a woman.  It’s easy to get lost in the whirlwind of motherhood, I needed an outlet that was all my own.  That’s when I truly embraced my love of writing.

I started small by creating Cookie Crumbs and writing about what had been going on in my life over the past year or so.  It felt good to say it out loud.  I didn’t care if anyone was really reading it.  As I began sharing more and branching out through social media I began growing a following and really looking forward to sharing my stories.  I’ve also gotten to know some great moms who understand where I’m coming from.  I’m finally feeling like a part of something that allows me to be Tasha again.

And now, I want to provide a community and place for you to express yourself!
