Happy Monday!  It’s time for another Weekend Recap!  We had big plans for our weekend, which included a children’s birthday party, an early trip to Target to try to acquire a Hatchimal, and a family movie date.  I also thought I was going to get tons of cleaning done.  Let’s just say, plans changed.

When this snowstorm hit it definitely halted our weekend plans. Read about what we were up to on the blog!

We had planned to go see a movie after we finished at my cousin’s, daughter’s 1st birthday party on Saturday afternoon, but then a snow storm arrived.

When the weather gets cold I want to snuggle up in my over-sized sweaters and get cozy. This red sweater was perfect for a snowy day.

Instead, we stayed home, got comfy and curled up with some peppermint hot chocolate.  Yum! I can only drink stuff like that around the holidays.  I can also only watch Holiday specific movies during the designated holiday.  Is anyone else like that? lol  These Yoga pants and red sweater were just what I needed for a cold day stuck inside.

Outfit Details: Mossimo Red Sweater (Wearing Medium) | Women’s Gray Yoga Pants (Wearing Small)

This homemade peppermint hot chocolate was just what I needed on a snowy Saturday evening.

We love heading to the AMC Theatre for a family movie date. Read about the latest family movie we went to see!

Since we thought it would be snowing all through the night we decided to forgo the early morning trek to Target to try to get a Hatchimal for Addie.  I think she’ll just have to wait until her birthday for that gift. 😉  When we woke on Sunday morning we thought we had lucked out when it wasn’t snowing so we decided to head to a movie.  It started snowing right as we prepared to get in our vehicle to head to the movie.  We didn’t let that stop us, though.

My Women's Sorel Winter Boots keep my feet warm and dry, no matter the conditions!

Thank goodness for our warm Winter Gear.  It’s really hard for me to find a pair of boots that keep my feet warm for longer than half an hour.  These boots haven’t failed to keep my feet warm and toasty, no matter the conditions.

Outfit Details: On Me: Women’s Sorel Caribou Boots (Wearing Size 8-Run large so down-size 1/2 a size) | Wome’s Olive Puffer Jacket-Similar here | Women’s Black Skinny Jean | On Addie: OshKosh Pink Jacket (Addie in size 4T) | Cat & Jack Bungee Pull Winter Boots |

Addie had been asking repeatedly to go see the new Disney movie, Moana.  If I’m being honest, Matt and I really wanted to see it too. You guys, if you haven’t seen this movie take your kids now!  It’s not just another cute Disney animated movie, though those are nice.  Moana has the cute factor but the message of the movie is following what’s in your heart, despite the obstacles that may appear.  I teared up so many times during this movie.  Such a beautiful movie and message.  Check it out!

I’m in love with these suede lace-up heels from Lulus. They’re also SO comfortable!

Aside from venturing out for the movie and birthday party we were house-bound so I decided to play around with what I’ll be wearing to my company Christmas Party.  I’m absolutely in love with my Suede Lace-Up Heels from Lulus.com.  They are true-to-size and honestly some of the most comfortable heels I’ve ever worn.  I can’t wait to put together the rest of my Holiday Party look!
