So Much To Be Thankful For

We read old Encyclopedias Thanksgiving Morning, because why not?

The Feast!

Happy Day After Thanksgiving!  Are you all out braving the Black Friday crowds?  I have to work today so no Black Friday shopping for me, at least not with the crowds.  I prefer my shopping done online anyway.  I did, however rise crazy early to watch The Gilmore Girls Return on Netflix!  I only got to watch one episode and am just dying to see the others.  I might be able to squeeze one more in today before we leave for my sister-in-law’s for the weekend.  Once there they have no wi-fi or internet access so I’ll have to wait to watch the rest on Sunday! :-O

My Life Motto

I try to practice gratitude every day but as Thanksgiving is the Holiday of Gratitude I gave extra thanks for my family.  We’re flawed and a little crazy sometimes but I wouldn’t have it any other way.  I’m so very thankful for my Addie who made me a mommy and helps teach me to be the best version of myself every day.  I was thankful for FaceTime yesterday so Addie could see and speak to her Mema and Poppy who live in NY.  She misses them a lot since we left NY so she always really enjoys being able to see them and show them all of the great things she’s been up to.  I am so very blessed, truly and though some days are harder than others, I would not trade them for anything in the world.

I made Green Bean Casserole from scratch for Matt because it’s his favorite.  It came out pretty good if I do say so myself!  I have to admit, other than that and helping to set the table I didn’t really do much.  Thank goodness for mama’s right? lol  As we are heading to my sister-in-law’s for the remainder of the weekend I’ll be pretty much offline for the next couple of days.  I hope that you all enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend!

How was your Thanksgiving?  What was your favorite dish?  I’d love to hear how you’re spending the remainder of your holiday weekend!
