I love fashion and am always looking for new pieces to add to my wardrobe, especially as the seasons change. With our Midwest Winter in full swing, I’m all about anything that keeps me and my family warm and cozy. Sweaters and sweater dresses are my favorites. With the holiday festivities in full swing though I’m searching for the perfect special occasion outfit for all of the holiday parties coming up. Accessories are also key for these outfits because they pull the whole look together. A nice blanket scarf, necklace or a pair of sunglasses is usually what I go for.
I can’t forget the family though. Addie loves little dresses and shoes. She definitely inherited my love of shoes. Matt’s a bit harder because he is all about comfort and function but he does clean up pretty good. He loves flannels and sweaters that can pass for a special occasion but that he can also play in. The important thing for him are items that will stand up to wear because he never let’s go of his clothes. Seriously, he has tees that are barely holding together that he refuses to give up.
As much as I love buying new fashion items for the entire family, I also have a budget to stick to. That’s why I’m always on the search for special sales at my favorite stores and additional coupons and apps that will help me save even more. Right now two of my favorite places to shop for me and my family are Lulus and Target. With that in mind, I wanted to put together some of my Fashion Favorites for the whole family and 3 ways to save big at Target.

Lulus is my newest fashion obsession. Their women’s clothes and accessories cover everything from casual and comfortable to stylish and elegant. I am in love with their sweaters and dresses right now. Even with the cold weather I love wearing a dress for all of the special occasions I have to attend. Shop their Sale section and select the percentage off you’re looking for for extra savings.
I’m loving my new sunglasses from Lulus.
I also have this necklace that I can’t wait to pair with something. These pink sunglasses are definitely going to be used to add some color to my mostly black wardrobe.

3 Ways To Save Big At Target
Target is probably one of my favorite places to shop. I don’t know what it is about Target but I cannot go in there and just buy what’s on my list. It breaks my willpower down every time. I love their products and there is the added bonus that you can stack discounts for major savings. Below are 3 Ways to stack the savings at Target for major discounts!
- I love using my Cartwheel app and then paying with my Target REDcard Debit Card. With the Cartwheel app you can add items that are already on your shopping list before you head into the store so that you have the discounts ready for checkout. You can also do what I do and scan the barcode of an item you’re looking to purchase to see if there are any available discounts. This is perfect for those surprise items that always wind up in my cart. Once you’re ready to check out you select the “Checkout” option on your Cartwheel app and the cashier will scan the barcode to apply the discounts and coupons before you pay.
- My second favorite way to save at Target is the REDcard. When an item is already on sale I can add the additional 5% discount from my REDcard and whatever discount is being offered from my Cartwheel app. If you prefer to not apply for a credit card Target also offers the debit card option, which is what I use. Whether you’re in the store or shopping online, you just pay with your REDcard and the 5% discount is applied to your final total. The added bonus of purchasing online and paying with your REDcard is that shipping is always free! I don’t know about you, but I love free shipping so this is a great feature for me.
- Speaking of shopping online, if you access Target’s website via EBATES you can earn cash back on your entire purchase! EBates is an online cashback website that is linked to thousands of retailers, including Target! Here’s how I use Ebates. I have added the Ebates Add-On to my Google Chrome taskbar, that way, when I visit Target, or any other participating retailers website, Ebates will flash the cashback percentage for me and all I have to do is activate the savings. Once activated it returns me to Target’s website and I shop as I normally would.
- Once my order is completed I receive an email shortly after telling me what my cashback amount will be. Ebates then cuts you a check quarterly for you to do as you wish, buy that cute bag you’ve been eyeing, add it to savings, whatever you want! Who doesn’t love to get paid to shop, am I right? Ebates also has a great smartphone app so if you do most of your online shopping through your phone all you have to do is go to your Ebates app, select the retailer you wish to shop with and off you go!
These 3 money saving options always add up to major savings for me when I’m shopping at Target. Check them out!
