Happy Monday! Okay, I know, Monday, Ugh. I don’t know about you but I need a cup of coffee. That said, I hope you all had beautiful weekends full of whatever it was that you were needing, whether that was getting some much-needed work done, family time or nothing at all. Ours was the perfect Fall weekend. The skies were clear, the weather warm, the views stunning and I was surrounded by my two loves. Oh and Matt came up with Boo Hash for breakfast, he was very proud of his clever pun on Blue potatoes. 😉 I could do with about 10 more of those in a row. 🙂
Our little photographer.
Addie loves our local library and it’s a great free way to get out of the house and let your Littles explore and play.
That smile is magic.
The views at the top of the Fenelon Place Elevator in Dubuque, Iowa are stunning. At only $3/per person round trip, and Addie was free, it couldn’t be beat for a nice afternoon out.
A family afternoon out wouldn’t be complete without ice cream.
Daddy is shocked at the amazingness of Addie’s pumpkin decorating skills.
Pumpkin carving time with Daddy is loads of giggles. We got our pumpkins at our local Pumpkin Patch and staying in to carve pumpkins was a nice family activity that cost next to nothing.
This face kept me from work I needed to get done on Sunday but I can’t be angry.
I never get sick of this view.
On the way to Matt’s work Halloween Party, we decided to stop and enjoy the beautiful weather.
This morning Matt proudly told me he made Boo Hash, “because I used Blue Potatoes”. (cue laughter) Here’s Matt’s Halloween potatoes, Boo Hash
- 2 Blue Potatoes-Cubed
- 1/4 yellow onion sliced
- 1 Turkey Sausage-sliced
- salt & pepper to taste
- Cook the potatoes over medium heat in enough olive oil to coat the skillet.
- Cook the potatoes for 10 minutes or until soft.
- Then add the onions and sausage and good until the sausage is browned.
- Season with Salt & Pepper to taste.
Our family is full of lots of love and laughter and this weekend was no different. Have a great week everyone!
